Some people said CS6 is using OpenCL only. Some forums said OpenCL is faster then Cuda. I would like to learn more about OpenCL and Cuda.

just like we did in eggxperts but just issue, gaming, general, and PC parts. This forum is great expert with good wise ratio, value, performance, and etc. Most of us (eggxperts) like this guy and some people too. Best bang for the buck for CPU.That is where I googled it and saw in forums about his wrote. 2600/3700 8 HT great for "Intermediate" use with any programs like CS6, Cinema4d, and etc. However, there are only few people who are graphic design and video-editing such as 2600/3770 w/o "K" if need overclocking or about close price, any GPUs GTX cards or AMD 7750/7770 or higher if buget fit. I always ask them go to adobe forums then I linked for them.

Also asking for issue in his or her PC hardware or software. Any people usually come to eggxpert ask for PC custom building for a gaming, basic, and needs. I'm helping to people who needs help with PC parts and build. I already know about performance in gaming benchmark, value, performance ratio, and etc. This discussion is about OpenCL vs Cuda for CS6 programs and general for PS, video-editing and 3D rendering. I do like to know how comparison with a GTX 6xx and an AMD 7xxx. Also my protools, nuke, houdini etc (yes even the CC cloud crap) are super happy with me Who needs apple hardware.First of all, My English is not very well please bear with me. But thats not for the faint hearted)Īnyway, super happy with this rock solid setup. (fyi as i am a real IT dude, i also hacked the postgress DB server created a multi host postgres DB setup with 1 prim and 2 hot standby in realtime sync with extra file based change logs for ppoint in time recoveries to any point in time. Out off the box light only allows connections to local DB's. Tip : set up a ssh tunnel between the resolve light host and the Postgres server on port 5432 so you can access the same remote central DB with light as well. So i have setup Resolve Light for 99% of the work with CUDA and switch to (app store OpenCrapL limited) Resolve Studio for the NR/Motion Blur/Lens Flare / Grain stuff. Resolve candle test confirms the roughly 1:2 OpenCl/CUDA performance mentioned before in this thread and seem in line with general 980ti scores. Non hot plug but that is unsolvable so far for hacks) Took 2 months to get to NL and a bit extra cash but worth it as all my TB stuff, like TB2 pegasus raid, BM mini mon, OWC SSD raid etc etc are all working.

I think you'll find benchmarks anyway, though you can easily imagine on your own that nvidia's cards feel better on cuda. Make a test on a separate SSD when you feel ready.īut you're right, this is off-topic.

Sierra is crap - maybe as much as Lion was - and useless, but ElCap's not (ask Dwaine first time 4 GPUs in a mac was on ElCap if I remember well), and my reticence and precaution about dozens of pro app compatibilities quickly fade away (far more than I had scheduled), even if coming from ML. Believe me, I'm not to convince on that very topic => Lion didn't make it at all (worst osx ever btw), Mavericks (out with 2013 macpro was intentionally optimized for AMD and I'm on nvidia), Yosemite I don't even know but remembered useless widgets and nothing more than make-up paintings. I also move when absolutely needed ( working apps are far more important to me than following any trend), and if it was up to me, I'd still be working on SL. I upgraded from Mountain Lion to ElCap, only forced by BMD minimum requirements for Resolve.
